Your profile is how colleagues see you in ThirdSectorBee. This guide covers the settings that belong to you rather than your organisation. No permission is needed.
Update your display name
- Open the account menu (your initials, top right) and choose Settings. The User tab opens.
- Edit Display name.
- Choose Save.
A Profile updated message confirms the change.
Email and Beehive ID are read-only. Copy the Beehive ID when you set up an API tool; it identifies the beehive you’re in. If you belong to more than one beehive, each has its own ID.
Choose payment alerts
The same tab has Payment notifications, where you choose whether a new incoming payment shows an in-app message, a desktop notification, a sound, or nothing. See Get notified when a payment arrives.
Choose your language
Open the account menu, choose Language, then English, Dansk, Cymraeg or Italiano. The change is immediate and remembered in this browser.
See your permissions
The Permissions tab lists the permissions you hold in each beehive, with a plain description of each. If you can’t see a page or button you expect, check here, then ask your administrator. See the permission catalogue.
Reset your password
The User tab has no password-change form.
- Sign out, then open Sign in.
- Enter your email, choose Continue, then choose Forgotten your password?
- Enter your email and choose Send reset code.
- Enter the Verification code from the email, your New password and Confirm new password, then choose Reset password.
The password needs at least eight characters, including an uppercase letter, a lowercase letter and a number. If the code doesn’t arrive, choose Resend code. After resetting, sign in again.
To sign in without a password, see Sign in with a passkey.
Sign out
Open the account menu and choose Sign out.
If your beehive has a session idle timeout, ThirdSectorBee also signs you out after a period without activity. See Manage passkeys and session settings.
