The moment after someone submits is a chance to thank them properly. The After submission pane sets what they see next, and shows what each submission will record in ThirdSectorBee.
Before you start
You need engage:read:forms and engage:write:forms.
Choose what the supporter sees
- Open the form and go to After submission.
- Choose one:
- Show a thank-you: enter the Message shown on the page. New forms start with “Thank you for your submission!”, so it’s worth making this warmer and more specific.
- Send them to a page: enter the Redirect URL, such as a thank-you page on your website.
- Choose Save draft, or publish.
Switching between the two clears what you’d entered for the other, so enter the new message or address before saving.
The thank-you or redirect confirms that the form was submitted. Records are created in the background afterwards and may take a moment to appear; see Submission processing.
Check what gets recorded
What gets recorded lists what each submission will create, built from the questions on the form. There’s nothing to map here: to change it, change the questions or their Where the answer goes setting.
| Row | What it means |
|---|---|
| Contact | The listed contact fields, matched on email or created as a new contact |
| Touchpoint | An inbound touchpoint named after the form, dated on submission, holding the listed fields |
| Organisation | The listed organisation fields |
| Payment | Their gift, with Gift Aid where declared |
| Consent | The purposes and channels you chose in Permission |
If it says “Nothing. This form would collect answers and store none of them.”, submissions are kept on the form but nothing reaches your supporter records. Give the questions somewhere to go; see Build and publish a form. The forms list shows such a form as Nothing under What it records.
The same summary appears in the Publish dialog.
