Find programmes to fundraise for

The Fundraiser View gives your fundraising team a read-only picture of which programmes need money and what for, without opening each programme. Use it when preparing an application or a conversation with a supporter.

Before you start

  • You need either programmes:read:fundraiser or programmes:read:programmes. The fundraiser permission is the narrower of the two: it shows this view without giving access to the full programme records. See the permission catalogue.

Open the Fundraiser View

  1. In the sidebar, under Programmes, choose Fundraiser View.
  2. Read the card for each programme. It shows:
    • the programme name, status and description
    • From: and To: dates, where set
    • Terms of Restriction, marked Restricted or Designated, with the terms
    • Open Funding Needs, with each need’s Item, Amount, Status and Priority

Which programmes appear

The view lists programmes with the status Seeking Funding or Active. Programmes that are planned, paused, completed or archived don’t appear.

Only needs that are unfunded or partially funded are listed. Fully funded needs are left out. A programme with nothing outstanding shows No open funding needs.

If no programmes qualify you’ll see No programmes are currently seeking funding. To include a programme, someone with programme write access can change its status to Seeking Funding or Active.

Before you approach a funder

Check the restriction terms and dates on the card. A need on a restricted programme can only be met with money given on compatible terms. If anything looks out of date, ask the programme’s lead before using it in an application: this view shows what’s recorded, and it can’t be edited from here.

If something goes wrong

Failed to load fundraiser view. means the list couldn’t be loaded. Refresh the page. If it keeps happening, check with your administrator that you hold one of the permissions above.
