Once a form is published, you can put it on your own website or share a link to it in emails and on social media. When a campaign ends, archiving the form stops new responses while keeping the ones you have.
Before you start
- You need
engage:read:formsto see the embed code, andengage:write:formsto archive. - The form must be published. Embed and Archive only appear on published forms; see Build and publish a form.
Put the form on your website
- Open the form from Engage → Forms.
- Choose Embed.
- On the iFrame embed tab, choose Copy snippet.
- Paste the snippet into your web page’s HTML, where you want the form to appear. If someone else looks after your website, send it to them.
The snippet is an iframe plus a short script that resizes the frame to fit the form, so supporters don’t see a scroll bar inside your page. It allows payments, so card gifts work inside the frame. You can embed the same form more than once on a page.
Share a link
- Choose Embed, then the Standalone URL tab.
- Choose Copy URL.
The link opens the form on a page of its own, in your form’s style.
After you change the form
The snippet and link don’t change when you publish changes or rename the form, so there’s nothing to update on your website. See Edit a published form.
Archive a form
Archive takes effect immediately, with no confirmation, and can’t be undone. The form stops accepting submissions straight away, wherever it’s embedded or linked, and it can’t be edited or published again.
- Open the form.
- Choose Archive.
The form stays in the forms list as archived, and its submissions are kept. Remove the snippet or link from your website so supporters don’t find a form they can’t submit. To run the form again, create a new one.
