View the impact dashboard
The impact dashboard is meant to give you a one-page summary of a programme’s progress, for a trustee update or before writing to a funder. This page explains how to reach it, what it’s designed to show and what it shows today.
Before you start
You need impact:read:outcomes and programmes:read:programmes. Without them, the Impact pages show You don’t have permission to view impact data. Ask your administrator for the impact:read:outcomes and programmes:read:programmes permissions.
Open a programme’s dashboard
- In the sidebar, under Programmes, choose Impact.
- The Impact reporting page lists your programmes with their Programme name and Status.
- Select a programme to open its Impact Dashboard.
To decide what a programme measures, use its own Impact tab instead: see Add and review impact measurements.
What the dashboard is designed to show
| Section | Shows |
|---|---|
| Outputs vs Targets | One panel per output measurement, with the number of measurements recorded against its target (for example 12 / 40) and a progress bar when a target is set |
| Outcome Summary | One panel per outcome and impact measurement, with its level and the number of measurements recorded |
The figures are counts of recorded measurements, not totals of the values recorded and not confirmed numbers of people. If you recorded one measurement saying “15 people”, the dashboard counts one.
What you’ll see today
Known limitation: The dashboard service isn’t returning data at the moment, so every programme’s dashboard shows No impact data available for this programme., even when measurements exist. This doesn’t mean your measurements have been lost.
Until the dashboard returns data, use the programme’s Impact tab to see each measurement’s target and current figure. Open it from All Programmes by selecting the programme and choosing Impact.
