Manage sponsorship groups

A group is a community, school or project that supporters can sponsor, or that sponsored individuals belong to. Add groups before you add sponsorship opportunities to a programme that sponsors groups or individuals in groups.

Before you start

  • You need sponsorship:read:opportunities to see groups and sponsorship:write:opportunities to add or edit them.
  • Groups are shared across all your beehive’s sponsorship programmes, so the Groups tab shows the same list in every programme.
  • The Field partner is visible, and editable, only if you hold sponsorship:read:identity.

Add a group

  1. Open any sponsorship programme and choose the Groups tab.
  2. Choose Add group.
  3. Enter a Name. It’s required.
  4. Enter a Region: a broad area only, never an address.
  5. Optionally enter a Funding target and a Capacity.
  6. If shown, enter the Field partner: the local organisation you work with.
  7. Choose Save.

You’ll see Group saved. It may take a moment to update.

Edit a group

  1. On the Groups tab, choose Edit beside the group.
  2. Change the details.
  3. Choose Save.

If you see There is nothing to change., no field was different from what’s saved.

Read the list

Each row shows the group’s Name, Region, Funding target and Capacity.

If something goes wrong

  • A group needs a name.: enter a name before saving.
  • Failed to load groups.: choose Try again.
