Add a sponsorship opportunity
A sponsorship opportunity is one person or group in a programme who can be sponsored. Adding one starts a draft: nothing is offered to sponsors until its profile is written, consent is recorded and a reviewer approves it.
Before you start
- You need
sponsorship:write:opportunitiesto add one, andsponsorship:read:opportunitiesto see the list. - The programme must be configured, and not completed or archived. Until it’s configured, Add sponsorship opportunity stays disabled and explains why when you hover over it.
- For a person, they must already be a contact you can see. For a group, add the group first.
- Make sure the person, or someone responsible for them, has agreed to take part before you go further. You’ll record that consent in the next steps.
Add one
- Open the programme and stay on the Sponsorship opportunities tab.
- Choose Add sponsorship opportunity.
- What you’re asked for depends on the programme’s configuration:
- individuals: choose the Contact
- groups: choose the Group
- individuals who belong to a group: choose both
- Optionally enter a Field partner reference (optional): your field partner’s own reference for the person. It’s never shown to sponsors.
- Choose Add.
You’ll see Sponsorship opportunity added. It may take a moment to appear in the list. It starts as Draft.
If the person or group is already in this programme, you’ll see That subject already has a sponsorship opportunity in this programme, so nothing new was added.
You can also add a person from their contact record: see Add a contact to a sponsorship programme.
Read the list
